PRODUCT INFORMATION


COMPOSITION: Drugs in 1 tablet: Metamizol Sodium 500 mg, Caffeine 50 mg, Thiamine hydrochloride 38.75 mg.
Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, wheat starch, talc, magnesium stearate, gelatin, anhydrous colloidal silicon.

PHARMACEUTICAL FORM AND PACKAGING: 20 tablets in a blister of PVC / para. foil, 2 blisters in a single cardboard box
ACTION: Benalgin is a combined medicinal product, the action of which is determined by the action of its individual components (metamizole, caffeine and Vit.B1). Metamizole has analgesic and antipyretic effects. Caffeine stimulates the central nervous system and enhances the action of metamizole by facilitating its penetration into brain tissue. Vitamin B1 improves metabolism and conduction of nerve impulses.
INDICATIONS:
Symptomatic treatment of pain syndrome in:
• Headache (migraine, tension headache);
• Inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system;
• Postoperative conditions;
• Diseases of the peripheral nervous system (radiculitis, plexitis, neuritis, neuralgia, polyneuritis, polyneuropathy);
• Dysmenorrhea.
INFORMATION REQUIRED BEFORE USING THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT:
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Hypersensitivity to other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; bronchial asthma; leukopenia; anemia; porphyria; malignant hypertension; severe atherosclerosis; glaucoma.Not used in children under 12 years.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR USE: Periodic blood counts are required for longer courses of treatment.
MEDICINAL AND OTHER INTERACTIONS: The combination of Benalgin with other medicinal products requires caution due to the content of metamizole, which affects the metabolism of many drugs. There is a risk of damage to white blood cells with the simultaneous use of Benalgin and products that suppress bone marrow function. Neuroleptics and tranquilizers enhance the analgesic effect of Benalgin. Co-administration with chlorpromazine may cause a decrease in body temperature. oral contraceptives, allopurinol slow down the breakdown of metamizole and thus may increase the toxicity of Benalgin. Benalgin reduces the concentration of cyclosporin A in the blood and may jeopardize existing tissue transplantation. sympathomimetics can cause excitation of the central nervous system.
WARNINGS FOR SPECIAL GROUPS OF PATIENTS: Use with caution in patients with: impaired renal and / or hepatic function; active gastric ulcer.It is not used during pregnancy and lactation.
EFFECTS ON ABILITY TO DRIVE AND USE MACHINES: Does not affect performance of activities requiring special attention such as driving or operating machinery.
EXCIPIENT INFORMATION: Benalgin contains wheat starch and may be dangerous for people with celiac disease (gluten enteropathy).
INFORMATION ON CORRECT USE:
DOSAGE: In adults: 1 tablet 3 times a day. The maximum dose should not exceed 6 tablets / 24 hours.
In children from 12 to 16 years: 1/2 1 tablet 3 times a day. The maximum dose should not exceed 4 tablets / 24 hours The course of treatment with Benalgin is from 3 to 5 days.
METHOD OF ACTION IN CASE OF OVERDOSE:
Symptoms: decreased to stop urination; agitation leading to epileptoform seizures.
Treatment: General measures to reduce resorption - application of emetics; gastric lavage; activated carbon; laxatives. Subsequent symptomatic treatment.
SIDE EFFECTS: In rare cases, it may cause the following side effects:
Central nervous system: insomnia, dizziness, irritability.
Skin: allergic reactions - itching, rash.
Cardiovascular system: rapid heartbeat, irregular heartbeat.
Hematopoietic system: decrease in the number of white blood cells (leukopenia; very rarely - agranulocytosis)
Digestive system: nausea, vomiting, jaundice.
STORAGE: In a dry and protected from light place at a temperature below 250C. Keep out of reach of children!
